Once upon a time there was a village. This village was nussled deep in the mountain hidden by the mist  to covered the land.

This village was like any other village, with its own share of drama and injustice.

But despite this flaw the villagers loved their home tucked away in the mountains.

N' when visitors came the villagers always took pride in their home and found the flaws to be only a fraction of what was outside the mountains.

But one day a strange girl came and told stories of suffering of sorrow. The people took pity and cared for the girl.

But trouble began when she made commands. She ordered respect and obedience, using the stories of pain and sorrow to get her way.

N' if you didn't listen she'd attack and make the person suffer for their defiance.

But after months of this abuse the villagers had enough.

Her words and stories lost meaning and the people hated her.

So in secret they met to discuss what to do.

One man said to burn her. Another wanted to rape and kill her.

But leader stood and said “My people we will not sick as low as this monster! But I agree the girl must go, I petition we seek the aid of The Creature.”

The people gasped.

The Creature was a woman crowd with horns and rumored to see the world as death does.

To consider summoning The Creature for aid was a frighting and desperate idea.

But the people beaten and broken agreed with the leader and traveled to the home where The Creature lays dormant.

It took 3 days and 2 nights to find her home which was nothing more than a cave decorated with cryptic carvings.

N' even then only the leader and 2 of his most trusted men had the courage to venture inside.

The cave was dark, warm and slimy like the inside of some beasts mouth.

But they continued forward.

After walking for what seemed like hours the men found a huge room.

It  was blessed with a small amount of light that illuminated a thrown in the center.

N on this thrown was The Creature and her mate The Shadow.

They stared upon the visitors with glowing golden eyes and when they spoke it was like a million voices of the dead speaking at once.

“I know why your here.” She said with her body unmoving.

“You came to me to get rid of the girl.” She smiled revealing hundreds of sharp tiny teeth.

The men gulped in fear and shock wondering how she knew.

But The Creature giggled as she snuggled The Shadow.

“I refuse to judge another and invoke punishment. But I may know a way I can help you.”

“Bring the girl to me in 7 days n she will invoke a sacred ritual called The Rite. She will then face what she fears most. If she secedes I'll grant her any wish of her desire and if she loses she will have to leave your  village forever.”

The men turned white. “Why give such a monster a chance!?” They yelled.

“Because small man this girl has lost the villages respect and faith. To be fair she must have a chance to earn it back. But do not worry. If she defeats her demons her personality will change and all her pain will leave her soul. So no matter what happens the village wins.”

Thinking about this logic for a bit the men agreed to The Creatures terms.

N' in 7 days they brought the girl to The Creature.

She ordered the men to leave and block the exit behind them.

Then she motioned for the girl to come closer but stubbornly the girl stayed where she was.

But that didn't phase The Creature. She just held out her hand calmly.

Then The Shadow placed a small velvet pouch in her palm and disappeared into the darkness.

The Creature then stood up and walked slowly to the girl while pouring a fine blue powder into her hand.

When she got close, she blew the dust into the girls face and vanished.

The girl sneezed and coughed.

N when she finally caught her breath she began to rant and yell.

She continued on and on until she was stopped by the faint sound of laughter coming from behind her.

She turn around about to rip them apart when she realized it wasn't The Creature.

It was a man with a strange unnatural smile and black skin that shifted and oozed like ink.

“Hello my pet.” The thing gurgled.

“Don't you remember me? I'm your best friend.....”

The girl stepped back in horror, she gasped and cried.

“Ohhhh pet why are you so sad? Did you not enjoy the fun we had in your danty bed?”

The girl in a desperate panic ran and stumbled on a  stalagmite.

She hobbled and fled but the exit was blocked and she was corned.

The monster crept forward and gave her a wicked look.

“Now my pet we can be together forever.....”

The girl screamed.

Everything was dark and silent.

Then from the darkness The Creature emerged and tapped on the rock the blocked the exit.

The villagers open the cave and let light show in on the gory mess.

Her stomach was ripped open and her hands were covered in her own flesh and blood.

The villagers didn't question The Creature.

They took the body and buried it in the mountains far away from the village.

And The Creature cleaned the mess and sat down to a nice game of chess with The Shadow.

After hours of silence The Shadow spoke.

“What happened to the girl my love? I don't understand what happened.”

The Creature lifted a chess piece and sighed.

“The Rite is a ritual my species would preform to prove our adulthood. The blue powder is a drug that makes you see what you fear most. The girl died from not being able to face and cope with her fear. She ripped apart her own body trying to fight off the creature.”

The Creature smirked.

The Shadow stared down at the broad as The Creature took his pawn.

“But isn't that cruel?” He muttered.

“No. She created her own hell. All I did was show her what she birthed.”

She rested her head on her hand and sighed.

“Survival was in her grasp. She had the ability to choose to live. But she let her pain consume and kill her”

Then she had this big evil grin.

“Besides my love...”

She picked up another chess piece and held it up to the light.

The piece was carved into the shape of the girl being violated by her nightmare.

“This is the hell she gets for taking her pain out on others......”

Wow, that was really good. Maybe you could have given it a bit more dramatic ending, but it's still really, really well written c:
